In 2016, this is not a through route for motor vehicles to George Street. A street map c1960 shows that this was a through route at that time, several years before the construction of George Street Bridge over the River Usk which transformed George Street into a busy dual carriageway road, now part of the B4237. The white and green car is a Citroën 2CV6 Spécial. Text on the back of the car shows Barnabas Arts House.
