This public house is in St. John's Road, near its junction with Avon Road (the A4601). The public house was built in 1937 for the brewers Mitchells & Butlers by Linfords of Cannock. The main material used is Cannock brown brick. Its Neo-Georgian style and unusual interior features, most of which survive, led to its Grade II listing in November 1998. After a period of closure, the pub re-opened in 2012 as one of the small number of pubs operated by the micro-brewery Black Country Ales. Image Image
