The bus stops visible here were presumably provided for services running to and from Birkenhead bus station, as Woodside bus station is just a little way east of here. The bus in this photo (apparently IMM363) is a Mercedes-Benz 811D fitted with a body constructed by PMT (Potteries Motor Traction) to their own design. PMT came to operate buses here through their purchase of some of the remnants of Crosville; they used the latter's name on some buses in Cheshire and on the Wirral, including this one. By the time this photo was taken, PMT was part of FirstGroup, who later sold the ex Crosville operations to Stagecoach.
