The object of interest here is a Hoopoe, present for its 53rd consecutive day. Its favoured spot was the weedy enclosure on the left of the photo, where the bird could be seen feeding on the ground and occasionally hopping up onto a fencepost. Images of the bird itself can be seen at http://staffordshirebirding.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/sunday-6th-december-2015.html and http://staffordshirebirding.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/thursday-26th-november-2015.html while video footage may be viewed at https://youtu.be/qcRMcj4_42w
