Plane spotters gathered at Prestwick Airport to see the last Search & Rescue Sea Kings from HMS Gannet at the end of their farewell tour of their former operational area. The helicopters have been a familiar local sight for many years. Replaced by a privatised service in early January 2016, HMS Gannet was the last military base in the UK to provide Search & Rescue flights.
