Looking towards Cheddleton. Currently owned and operated by the Churnet Valley Railway Company, the line is open at present as far as Leekbrook Junction. Some trains also run as far as Ipstones on the Cauldon Lowe branch. In the not too far distant future, with co-operation and partnership with the Moorland and City Railways Company, trains may go as far as Leek, or even Stoke (via Endon).
