According to the Brora Village Trail Guide "The red roofed "Tin Tabernacle" was erected in 1909. Services were held in these "flat-pack"wood and corrugated iron buildings until the congregation could raise money for a more permanent church." The church is in use today and is dedicated to St Columba of Iona.
