A currently disused line to Stoke via Endon leads off to the left. Ahead is another disused line to Leek. Ahead and branching to the right is the line to Cauldon Lowe. On this line on some weekends the Churnet Valley Railway operates steam hauled trains as far as Ipstones. The three lines mentioned are owned currently by the Moorland and City Railways Company, which has active plans to reopen them. Behind the camera, the line is owned and operated by the Churnet Valley Railway as far as Kingsley and Froghall station.
