The express train to London Paddington does not stop at Pencoed station. Its next stop is at Cardiff Central. The station is split in two by the level crossing. Platform 2 on the left is for Arriva Trains Wales services which also stop at the minor stations (Llanharan and Pontyclun) on the route to Cardiff. Platform 1 for trains towards Swansea is behind the camera.
