Burridge Cross is on the minor road from Chardstock to Chard. The fingerpost indicates right to Chard, left to Chardstock and straight on to Cotley. The post also carries an indicator sign for National Cycle Route 33which runs from Bristol to Seaton on the Devon coast. The county boundary between Devon and Somerset runs through this junction and runs up the middle of the road in the centre of the image, so the signpost is in Devon and the tree is in Somerset.
