The A4051 from Torfaen County Borough reaches the northern boundary of the City of Newport. Newport's population on the day of the 2011 Census was 145,700. The brown sign seen here in early January 2016 has replaced the green one http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1444532 photographed in August 2009.
