Flooding at Close Park (6)

Close Park is a public park in Radcliffe. It next to the River Irwell, approximately 3 miles from Bury town centre and 1 mile from Radcliffe town centre. On Boxing Day 2015, the river was swollen by much recent heavy rainfall and rose above its banks causing significant flooding in the surrounding area. This photograph of Close Park was taken the on following morning, after the floodwater had subsided considerably.
