Grade II Listed it was erected in 1920 being unveiled on 8th August in a ceremony that was attended by the whole population. The enclosure was added after World War Two and in 1995 a plaque was added to the wall. It commemorates 32 men from the first and 7 from the second world war who gave their lives.
