The bridleway runs down the right of this piece of pasture. One comes across these narrow enclosures occasionally. They do not seem to make much sense agriculturally but there must be some reasoning behind them. This one is clearly visible on the 1st Edition OS map (which dates it at least 125 - 130 years old). Come to think of it, the bridleway does not make much sense either as it peters out 500 metres ahead.
