The office of WSP (Winterbotham Smith Penley LLP) is located in Cossack Square. Their website states that WSP Solicitors was established by the merger of three local firms that had been providing legal advice in Gloucestershire for more than two centuries: Winterbothams, A E Smith & Son and Penleys. Penleys LLP was one of the oldest legal firms in the South West, established in Dursley by John Vizard in 1758. Family member William Vizard represented Queen Caroline when King George IV tried to divorce her.
