This photo was taken from Flats Bridge at 22.46 on Boxing Day, 2015. The river is taking up all three sections of the A6 road bridge where its normal course only uses the centre part. In the process it has flooded the adjacent farm track and footpath which goes under the right section of bridge. The fence on the right of the picture is covered in detritus deposited by the river. The fence normally separates the farm track/footpath from a small field which now lies completely submerged between the fence and the normal course of the river. A comparison photo showing the same scene in normal conditions will be added soon.
