Red ribbons all over the village

A traditional Somerset signpost has been adorned with lots of red ribbons. A local lad, Harvey Hext, was diagnosed with a unique combination of both Down's Syndrome and Neuroblastoma - a form of cancer. An appeal was founded to help secure treatment for him, and raised several thousands of pounds. Sadly, Harvey succumbed to his illnesses on 30th December, aged just nine. His favourite colour was red and so Winford has now become swamped with red ribbons all over the village and many miles further in his memory.
