The war memorial was designed by the architect W.H. Bidlake, FRIBA, and was unveiled on the 21st June 1921 at its original location at The Square. It was subsequently relocated here, adjacent to the Parish Church of St. Alphege. The memorial commemorates the deaths in both World Wars and also those who died in the Korean War of 1950-53. A full list of the names is held by the Imperial War Museum's War Memorials Register and can be obtained from their website. This information has not therefore been repeated here.
