Salford Quays, Mariners Canal and The Victoria Building

The Mariners Canal was officially opened by the Duke of York on 27 July 1989, having been specially built to connect the former No 9 and No 8 Docks (now named as Erie and Ontario Basins). On the far side of Erie Basin, 116000 sq ft Victoria Building (Now named The Victoria@media city) houses offices. It was completed in 1992.
