Located 60 metres north of Oldends Lane, the Western Power Distribution electricity substation is in the northwest corner of the St Joseph's Catholic Church site. Its identifier is OLDENDS LANE 10627. A caution notice on the fence shows the presence of SF6 (sulphur hexafluoride, an insulating gas used in high voltage systems).
