Viewed from just beyond the top of these http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4762044 wide steps up from Cambrian Road. This was the first time I'd seen the Admiral building from this side. The familiar side http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3947820 of the office block faces Queensway and Newport Railway station. The Civic Centre clock tower http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3765864 is in the distance on the right.
