Bathford retains its old lock-up for those who perhaps had a little too much the night before. These village lock-ups (often called blind houses due to having no windows) were quite common in the latter eighteenth century before an established police force took over dealing with the inebriated. The cells do not appear to have any occupants; see Image] for a detailed view of the doors.
