The picture is taken from the B5205 on the western edge of the grid square looking diagonally northeast across the square across Houghwood and Red Barn Farm towards Billinge Hill. The outline of a cat its tail being a path leading towards the hill can with some imagination be discerned in the wooded/gorse area on the hillside to the south west of Billinge Hill. The cat is most prominent in the reddish colours of autumn and hence the local name for the area and the name of a nearby pub.
