Brackmuckley Forest is a Forestry Service woodland along the Gortgole road about 1km north of Portglenone. It runs from the road to the river Bann. It is open to the public but essentially undeveloped. There are a few stretches of clear paths and others - including most of the walk along the river bank - that are more easily walked in spring and early summer before the grass gets too high.
