This wonderful example of a portrait stone with winged soul above is unfortunately against a railed enclosure. The other side of the stone has the following inscription in a mix of upper and lower case letters: Here Lyes WILLIam Rodger late Deacon of the Taylors in SeLKIrK WhO Died the 25 of Jan 1763 ag ed 86 years
