This postbox is located in West Boulevard by the corner of Blandford Road. It dates from the brief reign of King Edward VIII in 1936. Estimates vary as to how many Edward VIII pillar boxes survive but the likely number seems to be between 90 and 130. Birmingham has four of them, at least. One is in Digbeth in the city centre and the others, including this one, in various suburbs. Postbox number:- B32 742D. Post code:- B32 2**.
