The pink buildings on the left only became licensed premises in the 1950s when it opened as the Apple Tree cider bar. It later became the Merrydown Wine Bar then nobles before becoming Fitzherberts possibly in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Its next door neighbour to the north is Image
