The photograph on this page of How it was by Jonathan Thacker as part of the Geograph project.
The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

A reminder of the close proximity to each other that housing and industry once had. Now in this part of the city most of the housing has gone (and much of the industry too) to be replaced by lorry parks and derelict sites.
