This rough wall by the side of the track is made of large boulders taken out of the fields. I am at a loss to explain why the boulders here seem to be so much larger than the usual ones. I am also impressed at the ability of people (and, presumably, horses) to move them before the days of mechanical diggers. Some of them must weigh well in excess of a ton.
