The whole area was called Little Stanmore until Queensbury Station opened and the area east of Honeypot Lane became Queensbury after a competition was held for a new name. The area west of Honeypot Lane and south of Uxbridge Road would still qualify for the old name only (or Stanmore as most people now call it generally), but Queensbury can still be called Little Stanmore in the Harrow borough, the remainder being in Brent and part of Edgware.
