In Alexandra Gardens which form a green oasis between Carlyle and Alpha Roads in the Triangle quarter of Cambridge, just north of the river in the old parish of Chesterton. The pavilion and green are used by the Alexandra & Beehive Bowling Club named after Queen Alexandra, consort of Edward VII who was reigning in 1904 when the club was founded and the gardens laid out.
