Part of Local Pastoral Area 3 in the Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury, viewed across Henley Road. The church website states that the foundation stone for this neo-Byzantine church was laid in May 1935. The church was consecrated by Bishop Ambrose Moriarty on July 2nd 1936.
