A rarity these days a former pub that closed and later reopened. Originally the Blacksmiths Arms it had become the North Road Tavern by the 1860s a name it retained until it closed in the 1960s. After nearly forty years the pub reopened as the Fountain head in 2005. Located on the corner of Cheltenham Place. On the left is Bills, a restaurant that occupies a former Post Office transport garage.
