Montrose Playing Fields is flat with trees around the edge. The main features are the Silk Stream which flows through the western part of the playing fields on its way to the Brent Reservoir, and the Tube trains from the Northern line which run on an embankment just beyond the eastern side. This is towards the southern end, close to the Silk Stream which flows just beyond the trees ahead.
