Montrose Playing Fields is flat with trees around the edge. The main features are the Silk Stream which flows through the western part of the playing fields on its way to the Brent Reservoir, and the Tube trains from the Northern line which run on an embankment just beyond the eastern side. This path follows the eastern edge and the Northern line is just to the right of this line of trees.
