Looking out over the North Laine area from a gap between Glynleigh House, out of shot to the left, and the high rise Saxonbury to the right. The large office building on the right is International House which is located next to Brighton Station and along with its neighbours to the left line Queen's Road. The three storey terrace houses on Over Street are immediately to the fore and stand above the two storey housing that makes up most of the rest of that area. On the left hand side a green building is visible, this The Pond, a public house on Gloucester Road. Towards the centre the trees make the northern extent of the Valley Gardens. The 1960s small rise flats in the foreground is Ashton Lodge with Ashton Rise the road in front of it.
