Opened in 1985 and located on the site of Cox's pill factory, whose former factory clock was added to the new building, the Lewes Road viaduct and the Vogue cinema, the latter now covered by part of the car park. Much of the retail space is on the first floor with the entire ground floor given over to parking. The arches were added to the design as a reminder of the former viaduct.
