Gathurst Bridge is bridge#46 on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Built in the 1780s, the stone bridge with an elliptical arch is a grade II-listed building(English Heritage Building ID: 403046 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-403046-gathurst-bridge-shevington-#.Vi8_8nknyHs British Listed Buildings).
