Town centre pub at 13 Watergate. Grade II* listed in 1988. Originally a house of probably 14th century origin, remodelled on conversion to a coaching inn in 1868. The What Pubs website states that this is widely considered to be the oldest building in Whitchurch. Its age is not apparent here because of the Victorian exterior.
