Horse Chestnuts in the Woods at Woodhall Spa

There are both Chestnut and Horse Chestnut trees in the woods. The Chestnuts are for eating. The Horse Chestnuts are used for the popular children's game conkers and the seed extract has been used to treat a condition associated with varicose veins, pain, ankle swelling, feelings of heaviness, itching, and night-time leg cramping.
