The old school and the Old Rectory - Buckerell

The school was a "National" school and built in 1830. The porch window is 14C and made of Beer stone. The Old Rectory behind, Grade II listed, was built in the 18C and was once the home of the Reverend E E Coleridge, BA, nephew of the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The reverend altered the exterior of the house to give it a more Gothick look but it has been altered again since then.
