The pub has been well-known for hosting live music since the mid-19th century. It also provides food. In the past it has been known as the Railway Hotel and the Station Hotel. It is now part of the Stonegate Pub Company chain of pubs. It is by the railway line and level crossing in Brighton Road. Image
