Situated in Warner Road SE5 9LU, this large bus garage dates from 1914 but was taken over by the War Department during World War 1. It was not reopened by the London General Omnibus Company for bus operation until July 1919. In the 1930s, it was taken over by London Transport, then during the 1980s, it was transferred to London Central. Subsequently, it was bought by the Go Ahead group in September 1994 and currently has over 260 vehicles allocated to routes operating in Central and South London. When this photo was taken in September 2015, an Open Day was being held at this bus garage attracting many people including children. Warner Road can be seen to the left of the bus garage.
