Whatever Happened to Central Park?

Wigan is a proud Rugby League town and Central Park was the place of worship (its stadium). Demolished to make way for a Tesco store, the only sign of this heritage is the untitled plaque at the base of the sculpture ironically known by locals as the "Easter Egg".
