The street runs from the junction with Sillwood Street to King's Road and was developed in the 1810s though Emassy Court at the bottom of the street to the right was added in the 1930s. The pub on the right was originally the Grosvenor Arms until about 2003 when it briefly became the Cuckmere Bar before reverting to a degree back to Grosvenor Bar in 2009.
