R A Bradshaw's Carr Foundry was an important supplier of castings for drainage, domestic fitments and larger projects too, such as the bridge on Albert Road http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4699368. This is the only remaining building, originally containing the offices and caretaker's accommodation, now converted to residential use.
