A sorry shell of a building. Worship ceased in the early 1990s, followed by an ultimately unsuccessful spell as a local arts community centre, final closure coming in 2003. Although Listed Grade II in 2004, it was ravaged by vandals and theft and in 2008 was burnt out, almost certainly an arson attack. The church was mainly built between 1902 and 1913, to the design of Charles Hodgson Fowler, although the west end was not completed until 1931.
