Vine House is a grade II listed building, whose original portion dates from the 17th century. A window bay at the south end dates from the late 18th or early 19th century http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-175228-vine-cottage-vine-house-lydd-kent#.Vh1NnMKFPcc Planning permission has been approved, with conditions, by Folkestone and Hythe District Council under application number Y13/0846/SH for the “erection of a single storey detached bungalow and garage, together with associated access, driveway and parking (alternative scheme to that approved under Y13/0365/SH)”. The bungalow will be built to the rear of Vine House with the access to its right, made in the wall seen in Image
