Buttercups or Spearwort?

At first glance one would say that this is a field of buttercups. However a second glance, and a close look at the original image at full size, suggests that they are more likely to be Greater Spearwort, which is the largest and tallest buttercup-like flower to occur in the United Kingdom, and which actually prefers boggy ground like this hollow by the road. I should have paid closer attention at the time!
