These houses set among rough grassland and pasture are typical of the scattered crofts on Rathlin Island. The driver of the island minibus told us that the one on the right was the childhood home of Kevin Black, whose daughter Frances Black is a famous Irish singer. Frances and her sister and brothers spent many summer holidays here, and her family still owns the house.
